Our latest feather earring is inspired by one of our friendliest birds. With distinct chirps and black and white tail feathers, Pīwakawaka's friendly antics make them a favourite of many Kiwis.
Made up of black and white pieces laser cut from ice cream container lids, these earrings are pinned together with a silver-plated handmade staple.
Hypoallergenic hooks (clip on option available on request).
Dimensions: feather 6.3 cm x 1.5 cm at widest point.

Why Pīwakawaka Feathers?
March has arrived and it’s one year since our NZ-wide level 4 lockdown. We want to celebrate the friendliness and resilience of Kiwis with a feather from a friendly and resilient bird!Pīwakawaka are one of the few NZ birds that are not threatened but they still need us to work together to help them thrive.
Made from recycled ice cream container lids they remind us of what we can achieve for each other and for our wildlife when we all work together.
Our Pīwakawaka Feather Earrings are part of our limited edition range of products. We can only make them when we have waste plastic available and will 'drop' stock here when we have it.
