Sacred Kingfisher (kōtare) are found throughout New Zealand and can often be spotted waiting patiently on powerlines looking for prey. They breed and nest inland where they feed on insects through warmer months. When the weather cools and the insects are not as plenty, they head to coastal areas to catch fish.

We can take a lesson from these adaptable beauties and eat what is in season where we are! By adapting our diets to suit the weather and growing conditions we are able to reduce our carbon footprint, support local growers and have a varied diet throughout the year!

Dimensions: feather 4cm x 1cm at widest point.

Hooks: Hypoallergenic (silver in colour), Clip on option now available (silver in colour). Made from PLA (3D printer waste) in Christchurch, NZ by Remix Plastic.
