The Pūkeko (also known as the purple swamphen, Porphyrio melanotus subspecies) is one of New Zealand’s most recognisable native birds, although often mistaken for Takahē ! The Pūkeko thrives not only in marshes and wetlands but also in farmland, pastures and even urban fringes.
These duel feather earrings are made from black and blue ice cream container lids and drape over one another like the feathers of the Pūkeko.
Dimensions: large feather 4cm x 1cm at widest point.
Hooks: Hypoallergenic (silver in colour), clip on option available (silver in colour, comment at checkout if you would like clip on).
